The Egyptian security forces continue their violations against detainees inside detention facilities. The medical neglect is still a clear way to torture detainees and killing them slowly.

The organization is reported that the female detainee “Alaa El Sayed” suffers medical negligence insdie Al Qnayat police station in Sharkia province. She is suffering repeated fainting spells, severe weight loss and la k of concentration. The police department’s administration completely ignoring her case.

According to her family, Alaa suffers aplastic anemia and lately she started suffering breath problems due to the inhumane detention conditions.
The prison administration refuses entering medicine and covers for her. They also refuses her lawyer’s request to provide a proper medical care.

The organization expresses its deep rejection to the medical neglect of “Alaa”. It also stresses that it is one of the long-term torture means, and a clear violation of the Egyptian constitution and prisons’ regulations.

It also, condemns the torture and medical negligence violations as they violate the international laws and instruments ratified by Egypt, most notably: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. It calls on the Egyptian authorities to provide the appropriate medical care for the detainees inside detention facilities.
