The lawyer “Ibrahim Metwally” is facing deliberate medical negligence inside his imprisonment.

On Sunday, March 24th, Mr. Ibrahim Metwally, the lawyer and the coordinator of the Association of the Families of the Involuntarily Disappeared, is subjected to deliberate medical negligence inside hia detention centre at Tura highly guarded prison II (Scoprion). He has been suffering for a long time from severe prostate inflammation and a pronounced jolt with his limbs, yet the prison administration is struggling to provide proper treatment and health care.

Its noteworthy that “Metwally” is prevented from exercise and visit since one year and half which affects his physical and psychological health.

Egyptian security forces arrested him on September 10th, 2017.

The organization highly refuse the medical neglect of the lawyer “Ibrahim Metwally” and affirms that it is a form or torture, ans violation of the Egyptian constitution and prison regulations.

The organization also, condemns the torture and medical negligence as they violate the international laws and instruments ratified by Egypt, most notably: the Convention against Torture، the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the International Convenant on Civil and Political Rights. It also calls on the Egyptian authorities to provide the proper health care for the detainees inside detention facilities.
