The International Day of Migrants

On December 4, 2000, the United Nations adopted December 18th of every year as an International Day of Migrants after their numbers increased and on this day adopted the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families.

The causes of migration vary from economic, social, religious, geographic or political reasons;

- Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar territory were subjected to ethnic and religious persecution, torture and murder, which led them to flee to neighboring countries.

- The Syrians were oppressed, so they resorted to the option of immigration in large numbers.

- So as the population of African countries.

On this day, the organization stresses on the rights of migrants as human beings that have the right to life wherever they are.

The organization also calls on the international community to work towards a global agreement on safe and orderly migration.
