The organization monitored the enforced disappearance of the 33 years old female “Rania Abdelfattah” for more than 28 days. On 24 June 2019 the Egyptian security forces stormed her house at 15th of May town, Helwan, Cairo governorate and took her to an unknown destination.

Rania lives alone as her parents passed away 13 years ago. The Egyptian authorities not only arrested, and forcibly hidden her, but also arrested her fiancé and forcibly concealed him so far.

According to these reports, the organization condemns the enforced disappearance of Rania and her fiancé, as it violates the international laws and instruments ratified by Egypt most notably the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. It also calls for immediate release of them.
