The Egyptian authorities are still violating citizens’ rights, citizens from all categories are arrested, women, children and sick people are not even safe from the elevating violations as the Egyptian Laws and international instruments ratified by Egypt are more applied.
Egyptian security forces arrested 8 people at dawn today, Thursday, June 25th including citizens that were forcibly hid afterwards.
The Ministry of Interior in its statement accused them of making a plan aiming at overthrowing the government on June 30th.
The arbitrarily arrested citizens are:
1- Ziad Abdelhamid Zaki Al-Elimy, former parliament member, and a member of the Supreme body of the Egyptian Democratic Party.
2- Hesham Fouad Mohamed Abdelhalim, member of journalists syndicate.
3- Hossam Moanes Mohamed Saad, The Egyptian people’s Mainstream spokesman.
4- Omar Mohamed Sherif Mostafa Ahmed Al-Shenity, founder of many companies including Alef Bookstore.
5- Mostafa Abdelmoez Abdelsatar Ahmed, founder of Almoez Group for Real estate Investment.
6- Hassan Mohamed Hassan Barbary.
7- Ahmed Abdelgalil Hussein Al-Ghanam.
8- Osama Abdelaal Mohamed Al-Akabawy, member of the supreme body of the Independence Party, they raided his house in Fifth Settlement, but he was not at home so they arrested his daughter “Mawada Osama Al-Akabawy”, second year student at Al Azhar University, they forcibly hid her to pressure him, then he turned himself in, they hid him without releasing his daughter or even declaring her detention place.
The organization strongly rejects arresting them without legal basis and demands applying the Egyptian law to validate these accusations.
The organization also condemns the enforced disappearance of “Dr.Osama” and his daughter “Mawada”, as it violates the international laws and instruments ratified by Egypt, most notably: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights of 1966.
The organization, also, calls on the Egyptian authorities to immediately clear theirppp whereabouts.
