Continues enforced disappearance of the father if the detainee “Nadia Abdelhamid”

The Egyptian security forces continue concealing the lawyer “Abdelhamid Gaber” the father of the detained student “Nadia Abdelhamid” for the 6th days, he had been arbitrarily arrested from the State Security Prosecution while attending the detention renewal hearing of his daughter, on April 17th, 2019. So far, his whereabouts remains unknown.

According to Abdelhamid family, they sent telegraphs to the concerned bodies but they couldn’t determine his fate or whereabouts.

The organization condemns the enforced disappearance of “Gaber” as it violates the international laws and instruments ratified by Egypt, most notably: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights of 1966.
The organization, also, calls on the Egyptian authorities to immediately clear his fate and whereabouts.
